The Bunnies (alternatively labeled as Sing: The Bunnies) is an upcoming American computer animated musical film. It is a spinoff to the 2016 film Sing, taking place during the events of the film from The Bunnies perspective.
Plot[]
Marisa, Penny and Heather (The Bunnies), a dancing rabbit trio from Calatonia, crave the spotlight. They have good dancing and singing skills, but they feel like they are still missing something. Marisa decides that they need to improve their looks. Specifically, they should have bigger and better-looking butts. The Bunnies try to do this by stuffing numerous round objects in their shorts, from balloons, to basketballs, to pillows, but nothing seems to work.
One day, when the trio is on the verge of giving up, Penny discovers an advertisement for "OMG" (Oh My Gosh), a brand new energy drink designed to enlarge the size of one's butt, targeted for those who want one. The Bunnies eagerly rush to and from their grocery store, buying several OMG drinks. They are so excited to try it, they forget to read a warning label, "Side effects include rapid growth if used aggressively." They take several sips at first, watching their butts grow bigger each time. They begin to enjoy dancing with them and prepare for their show.
At their first performance of the year, The Bunnies sing and dance to "Baby Got Back," while showing off their OMG. As their butts start growing bigger and slightly quicker, the audience cheers and sends them enthusiastic feedback. The Bunnies are then hired to advertise the drink. Most commercials are successful, but Heather begins growing skeptical about the whole thing.
At The Bunnies' next show, Marisa discovers a coffee machine backstage. She decides to see how it would mix with OMG. During their performance, when they drink their cans, filled with both OMG and coffee, their butts grow to almost the size of the entire stage, leading the audience to a major applause. Thrilled, The Bunnies continue to dance and drink, but their butts begin to grow and grow, and at an even faster rate, and soon, their butts grow so large that they break out of the entire theater. Feeling guilty, Marisa runs off to their home, while Penny and Heather are left still shocked while being covered by news.
Back at their home, after letting their butts return to normal size, The Bunnies become very sad at the fools they made of themselves and wonder what to do next. Suddenly, Heather notices something happening in the streets. She brings Penny and Marisa out just in time to see thousands of flyers advertising a singing competition, hosted by Buster Moon, floating all over the city. Heather tells them that it isn't the size of their butts that really matters, but rather they just need to have fun singing. Marisa and Penny agree, and The Bunnies set off for Buster's theater, ignoring all the OMG they see.
The Bunnies sing "Oh.My.Gosh" as their audition song. While they do not end up competing in the show, they gracefully accept an invitation to dance and sing with everyone else at the show. The Bunnies find their happiness again and start their grand, fun adventures of singing and dancing together.
