Strawberry Shortcake: The Super-Berry Movie (known in other territories as The Strawberry Shortcake Movie 2) is upcoming American animated action/adventure comedy-drama fantasy musical superhero film directed by Matt Ferguson. Based on the animated web-series Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City created by Michael Vogel. The Sequel to The Strawberry Shortcake Movie, it was directed by Matt Ferguson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Vogel, Julia Yorks, Kiel Murry and Sam Harperfrom a story by Glen Basner, Urszula Jurecka, Skye Lyons and Anne Loi. The film features elements from the Super-Berry sub-theme of the series. The film stars the show's regular voice cast of Ana Sani, Bahia Watson, Andrea Libman, Margarita Valderrama, Diana Kaarina, Tabitha St. Germain, Meg Roe and Vincent Tong reprising their roles and the guest voices of Wanda Sykes, Abbi Jacobson, Anthony Anderson, Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Lane and Keke Palmer as new characters. In the film, the Berrywork gain superpowers from the berry’s crystals and must stop Nutcracker Chocolate, Purple Pie Man and their new accomplice Thunder Pruna from wreaking in Big Apple City.
The film was produced by Good Universe and animated at WildBrain's WildBrain Studios Ltd. Vancouver. It was released on To Be Announced, in the United States by FilmNation Entertainment, while in United Kingdom by Universal Pictures handled international distribution. It is the second film under the WildBrain Studios banner. Plans for a sequel began in TBA when Ferguson stated that he was interested in making a sequel after its predecessor's success. Work on the film began when it was officially greenlit by WildBrain in TBA, with a planned TBA release date, with Ferguson returning to direct. The film features elements from the Super-Berry sub-theme of the main show. Inspidea in Malaysia provide 2D-animation.

In an TBA interview, Matt Ferguson stated that he was interested in making a sequel after the success of The Strawberry Shortcake Movie. He said, "TBA." On TBA, WildBrain announced that a sequel, titled Strawberry Shortcake: The Super-Berry Movie had begun development.
The sequel will feature elements from the Super-Berry sub-theme of the series, where a magical meteor crash lands in Big Apple City and the beries transform into Super-Berry with superpowers.
Conrad Vernon, who produced the film sequel, said that he wanted to tell a deeper story that could resonate even stronger with kids and families worldwide. He added, "TBD."
