Strawberry Shortcake: The Alien Invasion Movie is upcoming 3D American computer-animated action/adventure comedy fantasy jukebox musical film directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum from a screenplay by Jennifer Kluska, Isabelle Murdoch, Megan Russell and Yoni Brenner. Based on the animated television series Strawberry Shortcake. It is the third theatrical film based on the series, following the The Strawberry Shortcake Movie (2026) and Strawberry Shortcake: The Super-Berry Movie (2028), and the first film in the franchise to be fully animated in stylized computer-generated imagery (as opposed to being entirely animated in 2D like the first film, or mixing 2D and CGI animation together like in the second film). It starts the voices of Chris Pratt, Jonah Hill, Scarlet Johansson, Cody Bell, Dwayne Johnson, Zoe Saldana, Ben Schwartz, Rowan Atkinson and Jessie Reyez, and the regular voice cast of the series; consisting of Ana Sani, Bahia Watson, Andrea Libman, Diana Kaarina, Tabitha St. Germain, Meg Roe and Vincent Tong, who reprise their respective roles. The film's featuring songs and lyrics were written by Daniel Ingram and Ludwig Göransson, and its score was composed by Mark Mothersbaugh.

Development[]
In TBA, it was announced to replaced FilmNation Entertainment, Good Universe and MRC, but it confirmed will transferred to Columbia Pictures, Vanguard Animation and WildBrain Studios would develop a new CG animated Strawberry Shortcake film. Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum was announced as director in TBA, with development beginning the following year. During the production of Rally Road Racers, Rosenbaum came up with the film's idea and planned to make a Strawberry Shortcake film as the main character.
Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum was confirmed as director in TBA. It was revealed that the film would explore the origins of the Strawberry Shortcake, and feature a new take on the characters, with designs and environments more closely following the artwork created by Michael Vogel, the creator of the Strawberry Shortcake franchise.
John H. Williams served as producer, with Michelle Raimo Kougatte co-producing. On TBA, Vanguard Animation confirmed the original title of Strawberry Shortcake Through Outer Space, along with a first look at the film. On TBA, it was confirmed that the film had been retitled to Strawberry Shortcake: The Alien Invasion Movie. TSG Entertainment co-financed the film.

The script is credited to Kluska, Murdoch and Russell, making it the first film Murdoch had written without Vogel. As seven Strawberry Shortcake films had been made already, the team agreed they first needed to decide why this one needed to be made; their answer was to tell the story of Shortcake, who had yet to appear in a film.
