Here's The Transcript is Finished
- Firstly, the short opens with the 2020-2023 Nickelodeon movies logo from "The Spongebob movie: sponge on the run", but, except of ending with the music from said logo... it ends with the original classic 1984 "Nickelodeon choir" jingle combined with the jingle heard in the logos for "Dora and the lost city of gold" and "Playing with fire"*
- It starts at the real Nickelodeon Animation Studios headquarters, in Burbank, at sunset, where we see a group of live-action employees exiting the building, including an intern (played by Kira Kosarin) and an old veteran of the studio (played by Brian Stepanek)
Intern: Can you believe Vivian Horner turned Pinwheel into Nickelodeon on this very day 45 years ago? Just think about it. All those talented actors, artists, musicians and especially characters for young and old have participated in this very long legacy. Veteran animator: Yeah. *the two stop and look at the studio, dreamily* *sighs* If only these walls could talk.
- They leave, leaving the studio empty. As the camera turns towards the inside, the title of the short, "Once upon a Nickelodeon" appears on the screen, and it disappears as the camera focuses on a portrait depicting SpongeBob SquarePants, Sandy Cheeks and Mr. Krabs as they appeared in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Karate Choppers". Just then... the three suddenly start moving.*
SpongeBob: Psst! Nick! Hey, Nick! Are you there?
- Followed by a large amount of slime, Nick (from the original Nick Jr logo) pops out of the nose prop from "Double Dare"*
SpongeBob: *as he puts on his Krusty Krab hat* Is that it? Are they all gone? *Nick gives him a thumbs up and then... the yellow sponge leaps out of the picture* I'm ready! Sandy: *jumps out of the picture beside him* Well, let's see if the others are! *Mr. Krabs jumps out of the picture while holding a cowbell with the number 45 on it* Mr. Krabs. Mr. Krabs: *rings the cowbell* Year 45! Give it up for year 45!
- In another room, Jenny Wakeman from "My Life as a Teenage Robot" hears him from her picture*
Jenny: *gasps* It's the signal! *flies out of the frame* Alright, everyone. It's picture time! Harvey Beaks: *peeks his head out of his frame, excitedly* That's tonight? Jenny: That's now!
- Dog from "CatDog" peeks his head out of the frame as Cat (also from "CatDog") rolls his eyes in annoyance*
Dog: *excited* 45 year group photo! And the sun's going down! *jumps out of his frame, dragging (obviously) Cat with him* Quick! Let's cat going! Cat: *sarcastically* Ooh, doggy pun. *chuckles* Gotta like that.
- Just after he said that, Jenny's big little sister, XJ8, jumps out of her frame and falls on the ground like an anvil, nearly crushing CatDog"*
XJ8: Owie.
- in another room, Spongebob and Mr. Krabs run past two pictures depicting Dora and Boots from "Dora the explorer"*
Spongebob: hurry up, you two! Mr. Krabs: It's picture time! Dora: *jumps out of her picture frame* Great! Boots: *jumps out of his picture frame* We're coming! Dora: *to Boots* come on! *they run in front of a picture depicting Blue, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Paprika, Cinnamon, Slippery Soap, Tickety Tock, Shovel and Pail from "Blue's Clues"* Vamonos! Blue: *barks to the tune of "Blue skidoo we can too" and skidoos out of the frame.* Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Paprika, Cinnamon, Slippery Soap, Tickety Tock, Shovel and Pail: 🎶Blue Skidoo, we can...🎶
- instead of skidooing regularly, they get comically launched out of the frame (with Dora ducking as this happens) and they slide past Sandy, who's with Daggett and Norbert from "the angry beavers"*
Daggett: That was nuts!
- Ryder from "PAW Patrol" runs past them*
Ryder: No job's too big, no pup too small! Sandy: *calling* Hey, Ryder! *Ryder comes back* Get the folks upstairs! Ryder: *doing a thumbs up* Oh, I get it! Daggett: *doing a little victory dance* Yeah! Norbert: *doing a little victory dance as well* Yes, yes, yes, yes! Ryder: PAW Patrol... is on a roll!
- He runs through the hallway, followed by (in order) Chase, Rubble, Skye, Marshall, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Tracker*
Pups: *barking as they go upstairs* Tracker: Vamos, amigos! Rocky: Here I come!
- just after they split up, Boomer from "Wonder park" races by on an out of control roller coaster kart with June Bailey, Gus, Cooper, Steve and Greta (also from "Wonder Park") roped to it and starts spiraling on the walls of an hallway, screaming through the process.*
Jimmy Neutron: *flying through the hallway on his rocket along with Goddard* Gotta blast! Donnie Thornberry: *laughs as he gets pulled on a rope attached to the rocket* Whoa! Mighty Mouse: *appears from behind a wall, making a surprise comeback* 🎶Here I come to save the day!🎶 *takes off and flies past some more stairs* We're meeting in the lobby!
- Diego and Baby Jaguar from "Dora the Explorer" and "Go, Diego, Go!" are sliding down the stairs' banister*
Diego: Okay! *he and Baby Jaguar leap in the air* See you there! Baby Jaguar: Meow, meow!
- they land on Armen (with Anemone), Ramona, Mako and Bobby from "Under the boardwalk"*
Diego: Whoa!
- Angelica Pickles from "Rugrats" drives her Cynthia car recklessly, with her friend Susie Carmichael and Gordon Quid from "Catscratch" as her passengers, cackling mad in the process*
Gordon: Woo-Hoo!
- Sky Whale from the mobile game of the same name flies past while holding Sid Chang from "the Casagrandes" in his flippers*
Sid: *yelling* Remember me! Sky Whale: *laughs as he flies towards the ceiling, past the X's, who are swinging on their ropes*
- Katara from "Avatar: the last airbender" lands on the floor upright followed by a large body of water. Then, her brother Sokka does the same... taking Molly, Gil, Nonny, Oona, Goby and Deema from "Bubble Guppies" with him (Zooli, Bubble Puppy and Mr. Grouper will show up later)*
Gil: *meekly* Water! Sokka: *baffled* WHAT?!
- We go to the Nickelodeon Studios bar, where we see Kyle from "Fanboy and Chum Chum" making objects levitate in the air, Butterbean, Poppy, Dazzle and Cricket from "Butterbean Cafe" baking something, Stu Pickles from "Rugrats" drinking coffee and realizing that it's actually mud, Rango and Beans from "Rango" drinking coffee from mugs and Keswick from "TUFF Puppy" standing in the middle*
Keswick: There's no time for *stuttering* C-c-c-c-c-coffee!
- Katara and Sokka run in*
Katara: Kyle! A little help! Kyle: *concerned* oh, dear. Uhh. *waves his wand in the air* Cappellus Aquarium!
- He casts a spell on Rango's mug and sheriff hat, turning them into bowls of water, much to the sheriff lizard's surprise. Katara and Sokka put the six guppies in them as Hovis from "Catscratch" walks past, glaring at them while carrying spaghetti-tacos on a plate. The guppies then re-emerge and thank Katara and Sokka (with the latter scratching his head in confusion)*
Rango: *laughing* Oh, waiter! There's a carp in my cup!
- In a hall, we see Invader Zim angrily beating up a vending machine as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves walk past and watch in horror*
Zim: LIES!!! THIS FILTHY EARTH BOY LIES!!! Michelangelo: Yo, dudes. Are we, like, sure all villains will show up?
- They walk past a picture of their archnemesis, the Shredder, who tries to escape... but then Leonardo slashes the picture in half with his katana*
Leonardo: *smugly* Not all. Shredder: Ow.
- We then go to the elevator, where we see Squidward Tentacles entering it and joining Otis from "Barnyard", Alicia from "Go, Diego, Go!", Hiro Mightypaw from "Monkey Quest" and Angus and Morag from "The Loud House movie"*
Otis: Going down?
- The elevator doors are about to close when...*
Linny: *offscreen* Wait! *The camera pans towards Linny, Tuck, Ming Ming and Ollie from "Wonder Pets" running towards the elevator* Hold the elevator!
- Being really small pets, the wonder pets are going very slowly. This annoys Squidward*
Squidward: What? Rage. Fury. Irritation. Humiliation.
- In an animator's room, we see Lincoln Loud and his friends Clyde McBride, Rusty Spokes, Zach Gurdle, Liam Hunnicutt and Stella Zhau (all from "The Loud House"). Lincoln is sketching a drawing, with a plate of Lynn-Sagna next to him*
Lincoln: 🎶In this herky jerky world you shouldn't need to say goodbye.🎶
- Shimmer and Shine fly past, followed closely by Sam Manson and Tucker Foley from "Danny Phantom"*
Sam: Hey, Charlie Brown! Shake a leg, will ya? Rusty: a leg wouldn't make a difference, Linc. Zach: yeah. It's all in the...
- before he could finish the sentence, a smoke cloud bursts from the paper, blowing the six kids back, revealing none other than the fat tabby cat himself, Garfield (who snatches the plate of Lynn-sagna) and his doggy friend, Odie.*
Garfield: Ooh, we're wearing our doggy coat, aren't we? Odie: *barks in excitement* Garfield: *annoyed* Show me a good mouser and I'll show you a cat with bad breath!
- In the men's restroom we see Chuckie Finster from "Rugrats" getting his hair brushed by his father Chas Finster (also from "Rugrats"), Mr. Blik from "Catscratch" washing himself like an actual cat, Brobee from "Yo Gabba Gabba" brushing his fur, Rex Powers from "Victorious" combing his hair, Geo and Bot from "Team Umizoomi" spraying each other with "eau de mathematique" perfume, Verminious Snaptrap from "TUFF Puppy" brushing his teeth and Captain Man from "The Adventures of Kid Danger" making handsome poses*
Captain Man: * the tune of the "Henry Danger" theme song* 🎶Captain Man, ladies beware. He's going to kiss you on your...🎶 *stutters in surprise as Snap from "Chalkzone suddenly materializes in front of him* Snap: *laughs*
- Sandy and Mr. Krabs enter the restroom, with Sandy covering her eyes*
Sandy and Mr. Krabs: let's move, gentlemen.
- in a different hallway, Oblina and Krumm from "AHH!!! Real Monsters" are trying to get Ickis unstuck from not just his picture frame, but also from a toilet*
Ickis: *sarcastically* yeah. Thank you. Thank you. It's very nice to be here.
- while this happens, Eliza Thornberry from "The Wild Thornberrys" walks by, accompained by Bo Monkey from "The fresh beat band of spies", the Fiesta Trio from "Dora the explorer", Spunky from "Rocko's modern life" and Abner from "Hey Arnold"*
Bo Monkey: *monkey sounds* Eliza: huh uh? Ah. Meet in the lobby, right. *sees something distressing and stops* Don't eat those!
- the something distressing turns out to be Pig, Goat, Banana and Cricket from "Pig Goat Banana Cricket" attempting to eat Bossy Bear and Turtle from "Bossy Bear". But then Gary the snail jumps out of nowhere and roars like a lion, scaring the four away*
Turtle: *laughs and pats Gary on the head* Bossy Bear: *gives Gary a thumbs up* Like a boss!
- in a different room, we see Kai-Lan, Rintoo, Tolee, Hoho and Lulu from "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan" watching the movie "Monster Trucks" on a television as Orson Pig, Roy Rooster and Wade Duck from "U.S. Acres", Dal R'El, Gwyn, Jankom Pog, Rok-Tahk and Murf from "Star Trek Prodigy", June and Henry from "KaBlam", Allegra from "Allegra's window" and Dudley Puppy and Kitty Katswell from "TUFF Puppy" walk by*
Dudley Puppy: Come on, kids. You're gonna have nightmares.
- The kids, except for Hoho, look at him confused... and then Creech (the monster from "Monster Trucks") jumps out of the television, roaring and scaring the kids away (except Hoho, whom simply got picked up by Rintoo).*
- Remy Buxaplenty from "The Fairly Oddparents" poofs out of his picture frame thanks to his fairy godfather, Juandissimo Magnifico, while holding a bag of money. But then Kai-Lan and her friends (who, for the record, are running with their eyes closed) collide with them, causing them to drop the money bag and wand*
Remy: AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Juandissimo: Stop!
- then, Pablo from "The Backyardigans" drops from the ceiling in his "Robin Hood the clean" attire... and starts scrubbing the money bag with his brush!*
Pablo: I'll clean you till you shine, you foul villain!
- In a different hallway, Rocko Rama from "Rocko's modern life" is walking happily, while humming his show's theme song... until he hears really loud steps, combined with the sounds of eleven girls talking at the same time. He turns around... and sees the Sisternado right behind him! The poor wallaby screams and tries to run away. The sisternado is about to catch up... until Warren Rabbit, Lincoln Loud's prototype, jumps out of the ground, saving Rocko in the process*
Warren: If you think that's a screwed up family, you haven't seen mine. Rocko: *unamused* Don't remind me.
- a text appears underneath them, which says "I couldn't think of a better punchline"*
- Back to the elevator, Linny, Tuck, Ming Ming and Ollie finally made it while everyone else is tired, bored or (in Squidward's case), annoyed*
Ming Ming: Thank you all, fow howding... *flies up to say it to Squidward's face* ...the ewevatuh. Squidward: ...Whatever.
- Heffer Wolfe from "Rocko's modern life" walks in, much to everyone's (except the Wonder Pets and Ollie's) horror*
Heffer: I'm also going to the lobby. *he squeezes his giant body through the elevator's doors as Squidward screams in anger*
- Meanwhile, near some stairs, we see Grandpat Star from "The Patrick Star show" on his electric scooter, when...*
Dr. Colosso: Move it along, you old coot! Grandpat Star: Eh? Don't call me "old coot", you... you rat with an annoying voice! *drives off* Dr. Colosso: *chases after him* My voice is not annoying! Yours is! Grandpat Star: *offscreen* AH SHADDAP!
- Manny Rivera and Frida Suarez from "El Tigre: the adventures of Manny Rivera" walk down the stairs. Manny's El Tigre suit falls off his pants. Then, Sergio from "The Casagrandes" flies in, from the top of the stairs*
Sergio: *squawks* Finders keepers!
- swoops by, stealing the El Tigre suit like an eagle snatching its prey*
Manny: *angrily* Sergio! *chases after the parrot* Carl! Get your parrot! Frida: *shrugs then chases after them* Go, Sergio! Go!
- SpongeBob arrives and then laughs... until he hears a familiar whisking sound. It's Swiper the fox from "Dora the explorer" and he's chasing Mrs. Puff, who's wearing her elegant dress from "the best day ever"*
Mrs. Puff: Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! SpongeBob: Swiper? *gasps* Swiper! You stop that right now! Mrs. Puff: Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping!
- Grandma Gertie from "Hey Arnold" walks after the fox*
Grandma Gertie: Don't worry, SpongeBob. *cracks her knuckles* I got this.
- they walk offscreen. Then we heard a loud "WHAM!" as Swiper's tail goes stiff before falling on the floor, much to SpongeBob's shock*
Swiper: *offscreen* OW!
- Then, Spongebob sees something that surprises him at first, and then smiles: it's the portrait of his late creator, Stephen Hillenburg. He takes his hat off in respect as "Aloha Oe" plays in the background*
Mr. Krabs: *Offscreen* Spongebob! Where are you, boyo? Sandy: *offscreen* We're at the lobby! Spongebob: *nervous laugh* Gotta go. But thanks. On with the show... *walks away*
- we then see the stairs of the lobby, where a large group of Nickelodeon characters (and characters half-owned by Nickelodeon) are waiting as SpongeBob flies over them with a little help from Danny Phantom*
SpongeBob: Woo-hoo! Nate Wright (aka "Big Nate"): Coast is clear, SpongeBob! SpongeBob: excellent! *lands on the ground and waves to Danny, who waves back* Right this way! *Toph Beifong from "Avatar: the last airbender" walks into the glass door* Toph! You okay? Toph: *deliriously* Never better, Bluey. *trips and faceplants on the ground* Ren Hoek: YOU EEDIO- *gets run over by Umi Car from "Team Umizoomi", who got hijacked by SwaySway and Buheduce from "Breadwinners"* Umi Car: *frightened* Umi Car!
SwaySway and Buhdeuce: *they drive all around the building* Buckle up duckies, 'cause we ride on Umi car. Deliver- *Umi Car brakes hastily, sending the two green ducks flying offscreen while screaming* Spongebob: *calling, offscreen* Watch out for the ladder!
- the ladder, which is being held by Patrick Star, hits Eugene Horowitz from "Hey Arnold", sending him flying backwards right in front of Umi Car*
Eugene: OW! I'm okay!
- As Patrick places the ladder on the ground, Eugene and Umi Car run offscreen, followed by Brendar the barbarian, Evan the troll, Horus Scrum and Stacey Owl from "the barbarian and the troll"*
Evan: That review was both hurtful and constructive, but you know what?
- Cosmo, Wanda and Poof from "the fairly oddparents" poof into view. Wanda looks at the "Nickelodeon" sign that's placed over the gates*
Wanda: Watch this. Make it blue. *turns the Nickelodeon sign blue* Cosmo: *amazed* Ooooh! Make it chicken! *turns the sign into a giant chicken drumstick* Poof: *as Cosmo runs to get the giant chicken drumstick* No no no. Make it orange! *turns the sign back to normal (metallic and colored orange), and Cosmo slams face first into it*
Spongebob: Okay, everybody. Get together now. *all the characters are getting in position in front of the gates.*
- Doug Funnie and Porkchop from "Doug" make a surprising comeback (wearing brooch pins with Mickey Mouse's face on them)*
Spongebob: *happily surprised* Oh. After you.
- Porkchop bows and Doug places himself a little too close to Sniz and Fondue from "Kablam"*
Fondue: *annoyed* Whoa. Back off.
- Everyone looks at the camera being given to Patrick*
Nigel Thornberry: *laughs* That was smashing! Patrick: *grabs the camera* It sure was. Thank you. *starts climbing the ladder, which begins dangerously shaking back and forth every step Patrick makes* Spongebob: *worried* Patrick... careful!
- Patrick reaches the top of the ladder, which is shaking even more*
Patrick: mmmh. Now, where's that timer button?
- everyone is scared that Patrick might fall... except Azula from "Avatar: the last airbender" and Vicky from "The Fairly Oddparents"*
Azula: in three... two.... one.....
- Patrick falls off the ladder, screaming*
- the camera is now in pieces*
Patrick: *gets up, dizzily* Finland.
- Bunsen from "Bunsen is a beast" walks in, grabs a piece of the camera.... and starts chewing on it. That is, until his best friend, Mikey Munroe, sadly pulls him away*
Bunsen: Hey! Hey!
Vendetta: *sarcastically* Well, that was fun. *storms off* Rocko: *sadly* Maybe we can try again... in another 45 years.
- all the characters sigh sadly and walk towards the entrance*
Spongebob: *trying to say positive* No, wait! Come back! It will be fine. *loses hope* It'll... be...
- Just as they're about to enter the studio through the gates, the characters all stop as they hear music. It's the Mariachi Owls from "Rango". They're playing "When you wish upon a star" on their instruments. Lori Loud from "The Loud House" follows them with her trumpet (from the Loud House episode "House music") and Sven Hoek from "the Ren and Stimpy Show" does the same on his accordion. While all this happens, a text that says "Nickelodeon doesn't have an emotional signature song (and no. Sweet Victory and Best Day Ever don't count), so I had to stick with this one" appears on the bottom of the screen.*
[Jenny] Anything your heart desires
[Jenny, Professor Nora Wakeman, Brad, Tuck and Sheldon] Will come to you.
Amon: I knew this was gonna happen.
[Face] If your heart is in your dream,
[Waffle] No request is too extreme.
[Miko Kubota] When you wish up-
(Fanboy and Chum Chum cut in, singing the verse "upon a star" off-key until Pony Bramley from "It's Pony" shuts their mouths up)

(Swift from "Top Wing" sweeps up the broken camera by flying over the pieces and Bubble Buddy sucks up the pieces and shakes himself up while making washing machine noises to fully repair it before Crimson Chin puts back the ladder and the Goose Lady from the "Tales from the goose lady" shorts from "Oh Yeah Cartoons" waves Juanito, her wand...)
Mr. Crocker: *jumps in the air* FAIRY GOD PARENTS!!!
(...to make Patrick float to the top as he sets the timer)
[Aurelia, Ebezener T. Squint, Luigi O'Brien, Plus, Minus, Rock, Paper and Scissors] Like a bolt out of the blue,
[Dora] Fate steps in... (Skye from "PAW Patrol" playfully pounces her) ...and sees you through.
[Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Phil and Lil DeVille] When you wish upon a star,
[Everyone] Your dreams... come... true!
- the huge cast of characters (consisting of Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Nick Jr, Nickelodeon Movies, Nickelodeon Games, Nickelodeon bumpers and a few TeenNick characters) pose, an orange blimp flies in and explodes in slime as the finished photograph instantly appears in a frame*
- We then see the pictures in an art gallery as a group of characters that are not owned by Nickelodeon but had small involvements with them watch the picture, some in amazement, some in confusion.*
- Words appear on the screen. It says "To all those who have wondered, laughed, pondered and thought with us, thank you."*
- The end credits have various Nickelodeon and Nick Jr characters goofing around some frames as "Steamboat Bill" (which, for the record, is in the public domain) plays.*
- Finally, the screen goes black and shows that this short was dedicated to Howard Beckerman, Janice Burgess, Martin Mull, Richard Simmons, Peter Bennett and to Noggin.*
