Summery[]

A teenage Incan warrior named Ayara believed that he's destined for something great. But, after getting killed in battle, Ayara woke up in the year 2003 as a dog. Now, with some new friends in tow, Ayara has to fight a dog-hating mayor to protect those he loved.

Plot[]

In the Incan town of Pajaten, during Tupac Inca Yupanqui's reign over the Incan Empire, a teenaged boy named Ayara was training to become a great warrior like his governor father, Uchu. He was praised by everyone for how nice and helpful he is. Ayara even thinks he's destined for greatness because his father and his grandmother, Puna, told him so when he was six-years-old. Even his cousin, Uritu, thinks Ayara is destined to be great.

One day, there was a rebellion in the next village, so Uchu had sended some men to stop the rebellion, including Ayara. But before he did Uchu had given Ayara a golden pendant and wished him luck. Then Ayara, with a few men, went to accompanied Tupac Inca Yupanqui's army and went to confront the rebels. When they'd reached the village of Ingachan the army were ambushed by the rebels, but the soldiers bravely fought back. Just then Ayara goes after a strong rebel and took him down.

Suddenly, Ayara had noticed a spear coming at him and the next thing he knew that everything went black. When Ayara woke up he'd found himself in a wooden crate and he broke out of it. Then Ayara felt fur all over his body and realized that something was off. He looked at a mirror and was shocked to see that he had been transformed into a white dog. But Ayara also realized that he still has the pendant.

Ayara looked the building he was in and doesn't know where he is. Just then a security guard had caught Ayara and chased him. When Ayara ran out the door he was shocked to find out that the world he'd once knew had changed. The security guard ran out of the building and tried to capture Ayara, but failed when Ayara got away. Ayara ran in different directions, being overwhelmed by all the people and vehicles.

Getting tired, Ayara stopped in the middle of the road, feeling very scared. He turned and saw a truck coming, but Ayara didn't move because he was frightened and he'd braced himself for impact. Just then Ayara was saved by a female Havanese who'd saw him running from the security guard. Ayara thanked her and asked for a place to hide from the scary people. The Havanese, Maria, led Ayara to an abandoned warehouse, where thirty-six stray dogs are staying.

When Maria had asked Ayara where he came from, Ayara explained his situation and it'd left Maria confused. Just then a Chihuahua, a Chamuco, a Argentine Pila, and a Brazilian Terrier had came back with food that they'd collected and gave it to the other dogs. When Jose, the Brazilian Terrier, had noticed Ayara he asked Maria who he is and Maria then introduced Ayara to her friends.

Carlos, the Chihuahua, is a bit protective of his friends and wouldn't let any dog catchers near them. Jose is energetic and just wanted more space to run around. Francisco, the Chamuco, wanted to fight more than anything else in the whole world. Adriana, the Argentine Pila, likes to make pictures and dreams of becoming an artist someday.

After eating some fruit, Maria takes Ayara to her room, which is the warehouse office with two dog beds in it. Ayara asked why the security guard was trying to catch him earlier and Maria said that the mayor of San Juanito, Peru had banned all dogs and ordered for them to be locked up. Ayara couldn't believe what he'd just heard and couldn't understand why anyone would do such a thing. Maria said that humans can do not nice things and helps Ayara get settled in. She gets him a new bed, a purple pillow, a blanket, and a lamp. Despite all the hospitality he is getting Ayara was getting worried about Pajaten.

Later that night, as the dogs were gathered around a fire pit talking about any subject they could think of.
