The teaser begins with the 20th Century Studios logo, then transitions over to footprints on the ground on a cold, windy day during the Ice Age. The camera slowly follows the footprints on the ground, eventually leading to a mountaintop with more footprints. Those footprints belonged to Scrat, the saber-toothed squirrel. He is climbing a mountain, panting and straining to stay upright. He looks down and almost falls, but manages to regain his balance. He continues to climb the mountain and eventually reaches the top. He signs and collapses to the ground, tired from the long climb. He then sniffs the ground and begins looking around for a new acorn. While on the hunt, he encounters rocks, small remains of terrain, and thick snow. He continues perusing the areas, concerned that he will not find one. After what appears to be an interminable search, he comes across a single acorn lying on the ground. He squeals with delight and hops over it.
Scrat: Aha!
Scrat looks at the acorn admiringly. He proceeds to pick it up but then holds up. He looks around to see if there is anything that could disrupt him. Now, he picks up the acorn stem, but another hand appears on top of Scrat's. He looks up and discovers it is Scratte, his former love interest and rival from the third film (Dawn of the Dinosaurs)
Scrat: (Gulps)
The two looked at each other, startled to see their faces again. Still upset at him for dumping her, she let go of the acorn and ran away. Scrat looked back and recalled the day he left her in the underground world. He then approached her, trying to make up for it. Scratte, on the other hand, showed no interest in listening and walked away. Scrat tried to follow her through the chilly and freezing wind, but she was nearly lost due to the cold. He continued following her and then saw her looking at something in disbelief. Scrat, confused, looked in the same direction she did and dropped his acorn. The two squirrels noticed a trio of malicious human hunters standing over them, wielding spears, staring at them menacingly. Scrat blinked and laughed nervously, trying to give a friendly and nervous smile. These humans, however, got their spears out, leaving Scratte to run for her life, leaving Scrat behind. Scrat squeaked and then ran at a fast amount of speed to run away from the hunters. They then start chasing Scrat.
Scrat: AAAH!!!
Scrat dashed for his life, running as fast as he could. They hurled their spears at Scrat, who yelped in terror and dodged them one by one. Scratte, on the other hand, showed no fear or concern, dodging them with ease. The two kept running until they reached the mountain's edge. Scrat almost trips over and falls, but Scratte stops him. With their backs to them, the two saw the hunters drawing near to them. Slowly, they withdrew their spears and started to subdue them, demonstrating their power. Scratte turned to face the mountain and thought. She confused the hunters with a cunning smile. Scrat screams as she jumps off the mountain while holding his hand. The hunters gasp in surprise and bewilderment. They then saw Scratte glide through the air, with Scrat clutching onto her foot, yelping, and screaming. They looked off and looked at each other, leaving in anger and failing this hunt. They then leave.
Returning to Scrat and Scratte, they take off and soar through the sky, circling around and around as Scrat trembles and shivers a lot. Anxious, Scratte tries to devise a cunning plan to get rid of him. She gets an idea, and her expression brightens. She looks at Scrat and holds both of his hands while casting a seductive glance in his direction. Scrat looks around, laughs nervously, and smiles at her. Right after, Scratte let go of Scrat and soared away. Scrat looked down, looked back at the screen, and gulped. He screams while falling into a familiar island known as Herd Valley. A loud thud can be heard from Scrat’s fall, and he groaned in pain. Scrat sat up after his fall. He shook his head and noticed his acorn was gone. He looked around, trying to find it, and assumed it was done for. However, it fell on his head, and Scrat squealed in relief and hugged his acorn. Scrat then got up and started walking away; however, he got stepped on by a mammoth foot. A logo over the foot appears that says “Ice Age: The Human Takeover.”
Text appears that says “Coming soon to March 9, 2026," while the song, Send Me On My Way, plays shortly. The scene switches over to Scrat, Sid, Manny, and Diego on the beach of the Valley, with shocked faces.
Manny: (sarcastically) Oh, boy.
Sid: (Gulps)
The teaser ends, switching to a black screen.
