Gambit: Ace of Shadows is an upcoming neo-noir thriller action series created by Mad Man Ninja Pictures, set to explore the solo adventures of the popular Marvel Comics character Remy LeBeau, also known as Gambit. The series follows Gambit, a mutant with the ability to charge objects with explosive energy, as he navigates the dangerous underworld of crime while struggling with his past and a mysterious organization known as "The Court of Cartomancers." Set primarily in New Orleans, the show dives deep into themes of redemption, betrayal, and moral ambiguity, blending the gritty aesthetics of classic noir with high-octane action. The tone of the show is heavily inspired by the neo-noir genre, drawing comparisons to films like Drive and Chinatown.

The show features French actor Pierre Niney as the titular Gambit, with Adèle Exarchopoulos, Vincent Cassel, and Eva Green in pivotal roles. Showrunner Louis Leterrier, known for his work on The Incredible Hulk and Now You See Me, brings his unique style of storytelling and action to the series, balancing intense character-driven narratives with spectacular fight choreography. Inspired by the latest Gambit comic runs, Ace of Shadows seeks to merge the charisma and complexity of the character with a dark, stylish setting, all while delivering a thrilling and suspenseful experience for both long-time fans and newcomers alike.

Synopsis

Set in New Orleans, Gambit tries to live a life away from his criminal activities, but quickly finds himself drawn back into the underworld when old allies and enemies begin to hunt him down. They seek to use Gambit's unique powers for their own nefarious purposes, and he must face dangers on multiple fronts, from international conspiracies to personal rivalries.
