Despicable Me 5: The Great Fixie Conundrum is the upcoming fifth installment in the Despicable Me film series and the seventh overall in the Despicable Me franchise following Despicable Me 4, it also doubles as the third film in The Fixies film series following Fixies vs. Crabots. The film's release date is currently set for June 5, 2029.
Plot[]
Several days after the defeat of Maxime Le Mal, a new threat emerges from a corporation called Calamitorious Industries, that’s where the evil mad scientist Dr. Rick Calamitorious and his gang consisting of his teenage daughter Kelly Kosplay, her tech savvy little brother Domsom, and their anthromorphic red desk lamp soldier Sir Lampston, they have invented a device to enslave the Fixies, tiny human-like machines that live in appliances and repair them, the device that he made is called the Fixie Enslavatron, they use this device to force the Fixies under mind control to make weapons and inferior versions of devices and appliances. This causes the Anti Villain League to be on high alert. Meanwhile, Gru, his wife Lucy, and their kids, Margo, Edith, and Agnes, are celebrating birthday of their baby boy, Gru Jr., just as they were celebrating, they get a call from the AVL telling them about Dr. Rick Calamitrious and his gang. This causes Gru and Lucy, along with several Minions and the Mega Minions to go to head to work. Silas Ramsbottom informs them about Calamitorious Industries and tells them about their plan, dubbed Operation Stop Calamitorious Industries, or OSCI for short. They’ll need the help of Professor Eugenius, his wife Erica, as well as her microworkers the Crabots, and their friends Tom Thomas and Katya along with their three Fixie friends Simka, Nolik, and Grandpus, who have managed to escape from Dr. Rick Calamitorious’ plan and need the help of Gru and Lucy. They ask that they could help out with stopping Dr. Rick because they have the same goal of stopping Calamitorious Industries. Meanwhile, Kelly Kosplay and Domsom, along with Sir Lampston help Dr. Rick Calamitorious with getting everything they need for the fight against the AVL, so they create a device called the Villain Summoner Machine 10000 so they can recruit the villains from the past. Suddenly, the AVL arrives to put Dr. Rick Calamitorious and his crew under arrest, the gang splits up to free the Fixies who were captured by Dr. Rick Calamitorious however Dr. Rick tells them that they’re too late and fires up the Villain Summoner Machine 10000 and the final fight begins. During the final fight, Gru gets knocked over by the villains, particularly El Macho. Gru signals for backup from Dr. Nefario and the girls, who then arrive to save Gru, Lucy and the rest of the gang, and Dr. Rick Calamitorious, Kelly Kosplay, Domsom, and Sir Lampston are put under arrest by Mr. Crossman, the AVL’s new vice president. The gang returns home to resume celebrating Gru Jr.’s birthday party, during the celebration Silas and Crossman announce that they are being promoted to the AVL’s alpha team.
