Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3: The Last Course is a 2024 American 3D computer-animated science fiction comedy film. It is the second sequel in the franchise after Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. The film includes the returning Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Neil Patrick Harris, Terry Crews, Benjamin Bratt and Andy Samberg, while Will Forte voices a new character and archival recordings of James Caan is used for the character of Tim. The cast is joined by Teyonah Parris, Awkwafina, Matt Smith, Kevin Hart, Christian Bale and Antonio Bandares.
The film was released on December 13th, 2024 to commemorate the first movie’s 15th anniversary. The film was met with positive reviews, commending the emotional weight, voice acting (particularly Bale) and comedy, declaring it an improvement over its predecessor.
Sypnosis
Set three years after the second film, Flint’s father Tim has passed away, leading to Flint wanting to invent something to appease his dying wishes, which usually end up failing. However, an evil ex-Live Corp scientist named Artemis Murtaugh is planning to create another FLDSMDFR in order to create an army of evil Foodimals and kill Flint and his friends. After his friends get kidnapped by Murtaugh, Flint and his girlfriend Sam, as well as the ORAMASTWD (the Organisation Rebelling Against Murtaugh and Stopping That Weird Doohickey) and Guatemalan wrestler Manuel Fernandez to track down the fake FLDSMDFR, stop Murtaugh and save their friends.
